Case Study of Canary Wharf, D53 East Project

Client: Canary Wharf Group Plc
Contractor: Axima
Products: EPDM Rubber Bellows &
Stainless Steel Pump Connectors

DS3 East and West Buildings have risen up among the gleaming steel and glass edifices of London’s Canary Wharf. Both buildings share a sub-structure and slab and are built around five cores.

Located on either side of a central courtyard, with a 14-storey high atrium attached to the West Tower creating a stunning backdrop, both structures are steel framed from the ground up.

Over 200 Stourflex anti vibration bellows and expansion joints are installed in these prestigious two 16 storey office blocks.

The bellows were installed by Axima Suez and included Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approved JP23VS Stainless Steel Pump Connectors and JP02 EPDM Rubber Bellows.

Axima are one of the UK largest building service engineering companies and provide a one-stop, end-to-end customer service; including major project management, installation & refurbishment from design and construct through to commissioning and ongoing post-handover support.
